Abandoned Dairy Company

This object I had seen before. When we visited a friend in Eastern Germany last year, we drove by the old dairy company and I was immediately determined to get in there and explore ist.
Unfortunately, last year was only time for a couple of outside shots. You can take a look at those here.

But this year, I found a hole in the surrounding fence and managed to get in.
Obviously, over the years, the building has been raided for electrical appliances, wiring and anything useful, so there isn't much left of the original feeling.

Still, the sound of broken glass under my feet, along with the sound of water dripping from the ceiling made for a nice creepy feeling while walking the vast hallways.

Here's a short video I made during my walkthrough:

And here's the rest of the photos I took. It will not be my last visit here.

The Ghost Hotel

Okay, here's my first report of my tour of lost places in eastern Germany, the "Ghost Hotel" in Schwerin.

I had read about this object on the internet, and I had seen some photos, but the eerie feeling that crept up on me when I saw the hotel looking at me through the trees was really something.

We even thought we could hear children laughing. It was most likely children playing in the forest nearby, but it made a good addition to the already creepy atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the floorboards are so rotten that it is more than dangerous to be climbing around in there, especially on the upper floors. We went up to the third floor, but weren't able to walk into any of the rooms because of the holes in the floor.

Next time, I'll make a video of the walkthrough...this was not the last time I've been there, I tell you that!

Lost Places - A Taste of Things to Come

I've been offline these past couple of days, as I've been to the farthest reaches of the German Hinterland. This gave me the opportunity to explore some new buildings that I had heard of, even seen, but never had the chance to actually enter them.

I will post more of the photos and videos I made, but - as a teaser - here are some outside photos I took.
