After exploring the old vacation camp deep in the forest, we walked back to the car. Upon arriving, we decided to take a look at the obviously abandoned building right across the bridge from where we parked.
It was only a short walk, and we didn't expect much of the building which we assumed was a former mill. Entering was easy enough - the door was open.
From the inside, it looked like the last use was something like an office building or apartments or something like that. The only signs of the original use could be seen on the outside.
The interior was less than spectacular. Empty rooms, empty halls, some trash lying around. We were back out in a matter of about half an hour, which was good, because it was getting late and we still had to drive back to the hotel and find ourselves a nice place to have dinner.

Order of St. John - The Sanatorium in the Mountains Revisited (Part 3)
Here are the last couple of pictures from our revisit of the old sanatorium. I am sure that this was not our last visit there.
I definitely would like to take some night shots in this place :)

Order of St. John - The Sanatorium in the Mountains Revisited
On our way back from the medieval castle we decided to pay a quick visit to the abandoned St. John's Sanatorium.
We drove op there, honked the horn and Jens - the caretaker who I mentioned in the report about our first visit - showed up and let us in.
We had a nice talk with him and were given the chance to say hi to a bunch of his beautiful Greenland dogs before we started walking through the sanatorium.
It was like visiting an old friend, it felt strangely familiar.
But it was amazing to see what wind and weather can do to a building in less than a year.
Some of the photos may seem familiar to you. That's because I tried to remember some of the shots I took during our last visit and recreate them. So if you're interested, just check out the posts of the first visit and find out what has changed.

Revisit - The Abandoned Cooling Plant Factory (Part 2)
Here's the second series of pitures taken during my revisit of the abandoned cooling plant factory.
I was really surprised to find an indoor basketball court, and I have to say that this was one of the coolest rooms I have found during my explorations.
Next up: An abandoned railway repair factory...stay tuned, folks!
