Alright then, these are almost the final pictures from the abandoned distillery. I have one more post coming for you :)
Across the courtyard we entered a room full of bottles in all shapes an colors. It was truly beautiful, especially with the light creeping through the old windows.

This distillery has been abandoned for more than 30 years, and yet it has been left almost untouched, hidden in space and time.

Abandoned Distillery H. (Part 2)

In 1901, a new owner took over the business, which was at the time labeled a wine and liquor store.

In 1907, yet another family took ownership of the disitllery and operated the business for more than two generation until the production was discontinued at the beginning of the 1980s

Since then, the distillery itself, as well as the offices and the appendant residential building have been abandoned. Parts of the boiler house have collapsed, but there is still a lot to see in this wonderful location.

After we inspected the storage shed and the inner courtyard, we moved into the next part of the facility.

Abandoned Distillery H.

The origins of this company go back to its founding in the year 1833.
The first production site was opened on this spot in 1836 and is the oldest factory-like building in this part of the city.
The prestigious residential an doffice building toward the street was built in the 1850s.
The production facitlites were expanded over the years and at the beginning of the 1870, a  half-timbered rear house was built, which in the 1890s was further expanded with a boiler house and horse stables. The distinctive chimney was constructed in 1901.

This was really one of the most beautiful locations I have ever had the pleasure to visit. There was no vandalism and no graffiti - the whole thing was almost completely untouched!

We started our excurion in the former storage shed and the inner courtyard.
