Elysium - The Tomb in the Woods

On the way home from our excursion to the Nazi fuel facility we really stumbled upon this little gem of a lost place.
Driving slowly on that "deserted back country Schleswig-Holstein road", I saw this ruin just sitting in the woods, and of course, we had to make this stop!
So we took our car down a dry farm road to a little hill with a little forest on it and it took us right to where we wanted to be:

Further research brought to light that this "chapel" is what is left of the tomb of the landlord who bought the surrounding lands around 1820. He actually gave this tomb the name "Elysium".
He was an agriculturalist from Hamburg and supposedly developed the farms on his land in a way that made the area flourish.

Derelict House and Shed (Part 2)

I have also made some HDR images of the abandoned house, but only a couple, because there weren't really any great scenes. But I like the frontal view of the shed and the crooked wall that's still standing.

Derelict House and Shed

This house I had seen a lot of times when riding on the bus to my parents.
It sits inside a little forest right near the highway.
Since I have found no information about it whatsoever, I have to guess.
I can't tell when the house was abanoned and I don't know if the garbage in the garden has been left there by other people (if so, they must have dumped it there over decades). But from the looks of it, the house was abanonded and someone started renovating by clearing out all the garbage, but then stopped because the house is way too rotten to be renovated at all.

I can't treally tell, but I think the house is between 100 and 130 years old.

Note that the expiration date on the bottle is more than 20 years ago...
