As I've said in my first post about the abandoned chemical factory, the thing is huge!
And the state the buildings are in makes the entire area look as if WWII had just ended. It is no wonder that Jean-Jacques Annaud and - more recently - George Clooney have shot parts of their WWII-themed movies on the premises.
When we entered the first big hall, I felt thrown back decades in time. Then grey concrete, the scorched ceilings and the sunlight falling through the holes in the walls...it was a unique, fascinating and eerie atmosphere.
By the way: I suppose that the newspaper is not original, but a leftover from the film shoot.
