Kiel Week. Tall Ships.

There it was again.
The Kiel Week. It's not only the biggest sailing event in the world and the biggest public festival in northern Europe, but for the natural born Kieler, it is a terrifying time. A never ending search for parking spots, streets crowded with drunken people of all ages and full of broken glasses, half-eaten Hot Dogs and day-old puke.
But there is also the beautiful side of the Kiel Week:
The sea, the sailing regattas and the tall ships. I really do have a thing for tall ships, and here's a selection of the pictures I took this week:

Pfingsten, Teil 3 - Montag.

Noch später und un-pfingstiger als der letzte Post, aber ich habe ja noch den Rest des fotografischen Pfingst-Rundumschlages abzuliefern.
Also Montag.
Schwager und Freundin wollen am frühen Nachmittag los. Aber vorher noch irgendwas machen. Und ein Fischbrötchen essen.
Wetter ist gut, also erstmal für die tolle Aussicht rauf auf die Holtenauer Hochbrücke.

Hunger auf Frühstück (oder zweites Frühstück) setzt ein. Also los in Richtung Schilksee. Oh Gott! Riesiger Auflauf von Menschen mit Schiffen. Oder Booten. Olympia-Qualifikations-Regatten, oder Kieler-Woche-Vorläufe. Oder so. Kein Parkplatz zu finden. Also den in Strande nehmen. Am Ufer nach Schilksee gehen. Gute Sache: Sonne und Alsterwasser tanken um 11 Uhr morgens. Und Fischbrötchen essen. In der Sonne. Aber das sagte ich ja. Das ist das Leben.

Zum Abschluss dann noch eine Möwe Mid-Flight erwischt. Musste sehr schnell rennen dafür.
